Gift arts for of her white kangaroo character, Cameron Whitepaw. He's an androgynous raver boi! XD And great fun to draw.

The glow effect isn't great...not really what I wanted...but it was a first try.

Marker and coloured pencil on cardstock for this one.

I think you drew this really well, conidering androgynous white kangaroos are not an easy subject to draw (well, not that I'd know from personal experience really.. lol)
Did you shade in the black background with just pencil? What patience!

The background was a nuicance to get completely flat and black. Because no, it's not had digital trickery to make it look like that! What I had to do was first to use black marker...which obviously doesn't come out really black, and has streaks. So then I'd do go over that with coloured pencil. Which still looked a little less than flat black. So I went over that AGAIN with colourless blender pencil to smudge it all in together for a flat finish.

Really, it was a huge amount of bother for a plain black background! :XD:

Phew, that does sound like a lot of work.. I think what I would have done was drawn the kangaroo on white card then stuck him on to some black card and added the glow effects. Or just painted the background, because I am lazy.

I was tempted to do that, but I took it as a bizarre challenge to get it all done on the same piece of card stock. ;P

Haha I get those weird moods sometimes... like you know it's the hardest way but you're damn well gonna do it now

Ooh, nice! The tail looks thick and powerful.
I see what you mean by the glowing effect not being really waht you wanted, but...there's always next time.

This is awesome. I'll need to be saving my pennies to get a partial of him made.

I recommend Rose Quoll - did you see the roo she did recently? [link]

He's such a cool character, I love his design and it'd be fab to see him in his 3D pettable glory!
