Each horse in the world should have a chance to live and run over the hills. Not sent to a slughter house, One day there will be a land where every thing stands as one.....

One small note - a bay horse is a horse of brown to red-brown color with black points (legs, mane, tail, muzzle, and sometimes eartips). This is a chestnut. ;3 Otherwise, I do enjoy the coloring. It sort of "pops out."

Thanks, though I just went with the reference I was given though on this one! :P I don't really know much about horses, I guess.

Just so you know, I don't use "How to Draw" books or just sit drawing from Dog Breeds books though, however it might interest you that the Vallhund pic was indeed referenced from one! ;)

Great job with the shading and muscle detail! Um, but he looks chestnut rather than bay. *scratches head*

You did a beautiful job here, it looks absolutly wonderful. The horse is built together great (mine seem to have they're legs floating off or something.), yet what I love was the form added with the shine of the horse. I can't make a shine appear well while the horse certainly almost looks 3-D.

The problem is is that your artwork is going out of it's lines, the lines are keeping them from 'poping out' (or looking more like 3-D) with a big black bold line around it. I bet your pictures would look wonderful without the inking done.

Great job! :)
